Welcome to the The Palate, Fredericton's best place for casual fine dining. The Palate is owned and operated by Ken Roberts, a native to Fredericton since 1968. The restaurant opened on June 1st, 2001.
The concept was originally created by Joseph Ennis of Vancouver, BC. Ken took a trip to Vancouver to visit Joseph and after experiencing "Fiddlehead Joe's Eatery" decided Fredericton too could use a restaurant with creative food in a quaint and intimate setting.
Taking the concept from Joseph, Ken modified the theme to fit in with the culture and locale. The décor consists of pastel colored walls decorated with paintings of local artists from Fredericton and the surrounding area.
"The Palate" name came from the artistry in the food that will tempt your palate and for the artistry on the walls. Paintings from our local artists are for sale, so if you like what you see you can take it home with you.
